Angela du Plessis has been consulting to large corporations since 1984. Her areas of expertise include Alternative Dispute Resolution, and she is trained in Commercial and Labour Mediation. She consulted widely to both the Mining and Financial sectors in the areas of Employee Assistance Programmes, HIV/AIDS and Community Social Investment. Angela spent 4 years as a Commissioner at the CCMA and 7 years as an Organisation Development Consultant at Investec with a speciality in organisational and team diagnostics. Angela has co-designed and conducted 72 diversity processes in the banking sector.

Between 1986 and 1996 Angela lectured to postgraduates at Wits University. She holds an Honours and PhD degrees from Wits University, and a Master of Science from Oxford University.
